Details of SBI Clerk Selection Process

State Bank of India (SBI)’s Clerical cadre exam selection process details are given below.

SBI Clerk Recruitment Exam consist of the following three stages, which are given below:

  • Stage I – Preliminary Written Examination
  • Stage II – Main Written Examination
  • Stage -III – Interview

First of all, we will discuss the Preliminary Written Test for SBI Clerk Recruitment. Preliminary Written Test is the first stage, those candidates who will pass pre-exam, only those will be able to appear in the main examination. Details about Pre exam are given below.

Stage -I Preliminary Examination (Online): 100 marks (Objective type) – 1 hour

Stage -II- Main Examination (Online): 200 marks (Objective type) – 2 Hours 40 Minutes

There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Note: Candidates will have to pass in each of the objective tests.

Stage III Interview: After the main examination Minimum percentage marks on aggregate will be decided by the bank. Those candidates who will qualify the cut-off marks have to go through the interview process. Candidates will also be given weightage for their proficiency in the local language.

Final Selection: The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination ( Stage – I) will not be added for the selection and only the marks obtained in Main Examination ( Stage – II) will be added to the marks obtained in Interview ( Stage – III). Also, the merit will be prepared on the basis of the final marks, which will be the sum of Main Exam and Interview round marks.
